1. Acceptance of terms #
By accessing or using Guest It, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any other notices we provide within the platform. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.
2. Use of the platform #
You agree to use Guest It responsibly and only for lawful purposes related to hospitality operations, events and guest management. You must not misuse the platform, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with the operation of our systems.
- No fraudulent activity, misrepresentation, or impersonation.
- No uploading malware, harmful code, or spam.
- No reverse engineering or attempting to extract source code except where permitted by law.
3. Accounts & security #
Some features require an account or access credentials (including codes or role-based access). You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity carried out under your account, except where misuse is caused by our breach of security.
If you believe your account is compromised, you must contact us promptly so we can help secure access.
4. Intellectual property #
Guest It and all related software, designs, branding, and content are owned by Guest It Ltd (or our licensors) and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works without our written permission.
5. Customer content #
You (or the venue/customer) retain ownership of content you upload or submit to the platform (for example, menus, checklists, audit evidence, photos, and operational records). You grant Guest It a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process and display that content solely to operate and improve the service, and to provide it to authorised users of the relevant venue/account.
6. Availability #
We aim to keep Guest It available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, upgrades, or changes from time to time. Where practical, we will provide notice of planned maintenance.
7. Limitation of liability #
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses.
- We are not responsible for issues caused by third-party services outside our reasonable control (for example, outages in cloud or connectivity providers).
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to use the services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
8. Disclaimers #
Guest It is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not make warranties that the platform will be error-free, or that it will meet every requirement in every environment. Any operational decisions you make using the platform remain your responsibility.
9. Termination #
We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached, if we reasonably believe the service is being misused, or if required by law. You may stop using the service at any time. Certain terms (including intellectual property, liability limits, and governing law) continue after termination.
10. Changes to these terms #
We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law #
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
